WHAT STARTED AS A ONE OFF PROTOTYPE BECAME THE MOST SOUGHT AFTER OFF ROAD CHAIR ON THE MARKET...
The Ripchair 3.0 is the top of the line off-road wheelchair on the market today. The original Ripchair (pictured left below) was designed as a prototype for Howe and Howe Tech's Discovery Channel show; it didn't accept the user's own chair, it was built with snowmobile tracks, and other components one could expect from a prototype born from an idea and put together with what was readily accessible. What it did do however was something unfathomable, it gave the user the gift of freedom. At this moment the Ripchair evolution was born. The worlds best engineers and fabricators at Howe and Howe Tech met and brainstormed with wheelchair users to figure out exactly what their needs and desires were in order to build the ultimate extreme off-road tracked wheelchair. It was then decided that the design needed to transform into a non-transferable vehicle that accepts the user's own chair, have the durability to withstand the elements and the versatility to go anywhere. Thus, Ripchair 2.0 (pictured middle below), with its tubular design and construction grade tracks and components 2.0 was ready for retail sale, or was it. After field testing Ripchair 2.0 performed above and beyond what was expected but, the best in the business never stop striving for perfection. The next evolution brought the ability for the client to decide between two control systems. The first, a dual lever system, built the control similarly to a zero degree lawn mower. The second, a computerized joystick control with the ability to have all controls on either the left or right side on the unit. Finally, with testing, design and manufacturing set into place the Ripchair 3.0 was ready for retail sale. Today the Ripchair 3.0 is the most sought after off-road wheelchair on the market. Each chair is built for each client specifically, built from start to finish by the best in the business, spec'd to meet individual requirements it is truly the most capable option for wheelchair users ever assembled.
